The Icy Dawn
The Norwegian glaciers owe their existence to the intense orographic precipitation of the west coast. Today even these glaciers are retreating although their appearance is still remarkable. Deep crevices, called cerracs, are still present at some places. This indicates fast transport of ice over steep and complex terrain.
